When we first met, you told me that a disguise is always a self portrait, how true of you, the combination to your safe – your measurements. But this, this is far more intimate. This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head. You could have chosen any random number and walked out of here today with everything you worked for. But you just couldn’t resist it, could you?
#this fucking stupid scene #she knows she’s fucked the moment he says the word ‘sentiment’ #and yet she still tries to deny it all and play cool #and the fact that sherlock backed away from mycroft and decided to keep this whole thing between him and irene #and the fact that he does not show the password to mycroft #ugh this everything kills me #and he isn’t just typing in the password and ‘revealing her heart’ in this process #but he is also sentencing her to death #and he knows it #and yet - in the very end in Karachi - he was on her side #’I like to know that people will be on my side exactly when I need them to be’ #she needed someone to help her and he was there #and then he kept the fucking phone #I hate them both with the passion on thousand burning suns
I adored this scene. I’ve always adored the relationship between Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson. Although he acts cold, he really does care for her. She’s one of the few people that make him human.
XD BB HAMISH!
HAAAAMIIIIISH <3
Nickname: Hammy.
Oh, god, now I can see Sherlock scolding a small boy and calling him Hammy.
“GOD, Irene? Could you be any slower? I’ve already beaten mine up and you’re just eyefucking yours.”

I think that the bond between Sherlock and Mrs. Hudson shows that blood really doesn’t matter when it comes to family. You could be completely unrelated to someone biologically, yet still hold them closer than anyone you share blood with.
Because, when it comes down to it, family consists of the people who are there to support you. They’re people you depend on. Sometimes, this category intersects with the people you share blood with, but that isn’t always the case.

“No…because I took your pulse. Elevated. Your pupils dilated. I imagine John Watson thinks love’s a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive. When we first met, you told me that a disguise is always a self portrait, how true of you, the combination to your safe – your measurements. [Holds up her phone] But this, this is far more intimate. This is your heart, and you should never let it rule your head. [He starts entering digits] You could have chosen any random number and walked out of here today with everything you worked for. But you just couldn’t resist it, could you? I’ve always assumed that love is a dangerous disadvantage. Thank you for the final proof.”
