Brief History of Baker Street

Conan Doyle, You Troll.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, enjoyed practical jokes. He is said to have once sent a telegram to twelve of his friends, all people of great significance and power. The telegram said: ‘Flee at once, the secret is discovered’. Within 24 hours all twelve had left the country.

Arthur Conan Doyle is the ancestor of Steven Moffat. There.

Either that, or he reincarnated as Moffat.

I got bored.

I’d like to take this moment to sincerely thank Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for inventing Sherlock Holmes. We can fangirl over the cast and crew of any adaptation but in reality: Without this one person Sherlock Holmes would not have been born.

Why is Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle not on this blog yet? What is wrong with me?

As compensation, have TWO pictures of his ‘tache. (All his writing talent comes from there. He uses it to communicate with Watson, like a moustache-radio.)

Moustaches of importance.

He needs to be in every Sherlockian’s blog.

His stache… O_o

perfection.

That’s why his mustache is so big. It’s full of Sherlock secrets.

IT’S FULL OF SECRETS

Reblog if you have actually read Arthur Conan Doyle’s books.

…and you love this Sherlock as much as you love BBC’s one.

They really are incredible. But, I don’t think you’re any less of a fan if you haven’t read them. They’re just really, really good.

You can also try this

For the link in the title, click “The Complete Canon” for all of the stories in one PDF. They also have separate files for each story, but I tend to like the stories all in one place. It depends on what you prefer, though. You have both options. The 4shared one has too many pictures and things, which I found distracting.

EDIT: THESE FILES HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN.

Search resumed.

221b-baker-street-is-sherlocked asked: "Do you happen to have a link to that mega post of PDFs that went around a month or two ago? The one with all the PDFs of all of the original Sherlock Holmes books."

Wait, wait, WHAT???? HARIOG;HAW I DID NOT KNOW OF THIS!!! D:

I’ll look around, but if you find it, could you let me know, too?
